Triple-Up Thursday: Choose Happiness

It's Triple-Up Thursday!  First time here?  Let me give you the scoop:  Triple-Up Thursday is a (mostly) weekly feature where I create a set of three 3x3" cards made with minimal supplies - one stamp set and five colours.  You don't need a lot of supplies to get crafty!

Today's stamp set is Choose Happiness and the colour pallet is a bit unusual, but super pretty - Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, and Baked Brown Sugar.

I've been on a "what's retiring?" kick lately, so what's retiring here?  It's minimal but important - one of my favourite neutrals, Baked Brown Sugar, will be gone soon!  Stock up on your ink, reinkers, and cardstock!

But for now, enjoy the cards!

I've been in upheaval this week as my craft room/office is torn absolutely apart while I repaint (okay, who am I kidding - while my husband repaints and I hand him things and stay out of the way.)  I'm really grateful right now that I tend to create in advance and I can just upload a bunch of cards at a time.  I'm DYING to get back to crafting in my new room with a new colour!

See you again tomorrow!

The Butterflies Have Landed - part 2!

As I mentioned in yesterday's blog pot, the Butterflies Thinlits have returned AND they're on sale until April 30th AND you get a free Sale-A-Bration item when you buy them!  Eek!  You don't want to miss out on that sweet deal.

One more card to showcase with these beauties!  Yesterday's cards were bright and fun, so I went with something more subtle and rustic today.

It's so simple to create beautiful cards with the Butterflies Thinlits and the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  They're a total must-have!

(What's retiring on this card?  The Champagne Glimmer Paper!  It's only available while supplies last!)

See you tomorrow for Triple-Up Thursday!

The Butterflies Have Landed!

After a long migration, the Butterflies Thinlits Dies have landed in the warehouse and are available now! As a thank you for your patience, Stampin' Up has a promotion on these beauties until April 30:  Firstly, you will receive the Butterflies Thinlits at 30% off - just $26.30! - and secondly, in addition to your discount, you will receive one of three FREE items with your purchase.  Choose from Best Year Ever DSP, Best Year Ever Accessory Pack, and the (eek, my favourite!) Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP.

So today and tomorrow, I'll be featuring three cards made with these beautiful dies!  As per usual lately, I'm focusing on retiring products as well - make sure to grab 'em before they're gone.

I love the clean and simple look of this first card.  The Moonlight DSP in BlackBerry Bliss is a beautiful background for the vellum butterfly, and I love the little gold clip holding it on.  That DSP and clip are both on the retirement list, and only available while supplies last!

Need something a bit brighter?

The Sweet Taffy DSP and Tape It stamp set make for a fabulous combination - cutting butterflies from DSP is a great way to add interest and an extra burst of colour!  Sweet Taffy and Tape-It are BOTH retiring, as well, so don't miss out!  The links below will take you directly to My Online Canadian Stampin' Up Store.

Cheers and see you again tomorrow for a more rustic take on the butterfly trend.

Classic Grandpa - Guy Greetings (and the Argyle Embossing Folder)

My grandpa is a pretty cool dude.  He's turning 85 this year, but he's a young 85 - full of joy and laughter and smiles, and such a kind and caring man.  I love him to bits.

His birthday is in about a week, so this simple card went out in the mail a few days ago.

So since the theme of the blog recently is "what's retiring," what's retiring on this card?  The argyle embossing folder!  It's a great one for masculine cards (and baby boys!) and at half-price, how can you say no?  It's under $5, for pete's sake!  The "Guy Greetings" stamp set is from the Occasions 2015 catalog, so it is only guaranteed available until June 2.

The retiring list can be found by clicking here, and you can shop online with me (Canada only) using the links below.

See you again tomorrow!
