Unicorn Frappucino (with Video Tutorial!) - Coffee Cafe

Hello friends!

About a week ago, I posted a teaser on my Instagram page as I was whipping up a Unicorn Frappucino - a paper version, of course! - and I'm finally ready to share it!  But what's the fun in sharing if you can't make your own?!

Gather your supplies, pin this image, and stay tuned... we're going to create together later today!

Using the Coffee Cafe bundle from Stampin' Up!, this card is pretty simple and the technique doesn't require a lot of supplies - some Glossy White Cardstock, Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Pad, Berry Burst Stampin' Refill, a Stampin' Spritzer, and a Stampin' Sponge - all of which are available from my Online Canadian Stampin' Up! store - and some rubbing alcohol.  That's it!

And it's worth the effort, wouldn't you say?!  I never did try the infamous Unicorn Frappucino when it was available, but from all accounts it was incredibly sweet... which led me to this great sentiment from Mixed Drinks.  Too perfect, right?!

Want to see how this card is made?  The original tutorial was live on my Facebook page - if you're not subscribed, you're missing out!  I've uploaded it to YouTube, though, so you can catch up.

Are you a fan of video tutorials?  I've got a GREAT one coming up, but it's ONLY for my newsletter subscribers!  Later this month, my newsletter subscribers will be receiving an exclusive video tutorial to make this gorgeous card that I've previewed below.  It has three fantastic (and easy!) techniques to create a major wow-factor!  Click the image below to sign up for my newsletter and ensure you don't miss out!

Running low on supplies?  Fell in love with another stamp set and need it badly?  My Online Canadian Stampin' Up! Store is open 24/7 for your creative needs... and there's a bonus!

September Ordering Bonus:  During the month of September, you'll receive a FREE sampler of Holiday 2017 DSP from Stampin' Up! with orders of $50+ (before shipping and taxes) in my Online Stampin' Up! store, using host code EPJS6XKM - this offer is valid until September 30th, 2017, and only in Canada.  Don't miss out!

Thanks so much for stopping in today - see you again soon!

Cheers,
Shannon

  1. I tried this glossy cardstock + ink + alcohol technique recently and found that the ink colors faded a lot after a day or two of drying. Is there a way to keep the colors bright instead of fading out?

    1. Ooh, good question! I've noticed that this happens sometimes too, but I've never thought about what might affect it. I might play around with this and see if I can figure it out!
